This is the best compromise possible currently, although I am still checking if it’s viable to make this optional or not. – Some plugins will only accept mouse/keyboard input if they’re running in an application that has a dock icon, it seems.

Which will get focus everytime you do any operation in the plugin’s interface.Ħ – I don’t like the icon in the dock, can I run this without it? – This is ( unfortunately ) a limitation of this implementation, your bridged plugin will be running in a different application, ?ĥ – Why do I lose the keyboard shortcuts in my VST host? This mode has some limitations, but should improve your workflow a bit. ?Ĥ – Is it possible to have the plugin’s window in the VST host’s window? Reboot your machine in the end and it’s done. Sudo /Applications/jBridgeM/config uninstall Open a terminal ( go to Spotlight, enter “Terminal” ), then copy/paste and execute the following command: Dirty close: Bypasses some de-allocation routines, enable if you’re experiencing crashes when removing/unloading the plugin. Bridged plugin’s GUI always on top: Creates the plugin’s window as always-on-top ( Will require that you close and re-open the plugin’s window for this change to take effect ). Use thread safety measures in auxhost: Try enabling this option if you’re experiencing random crashes when running your bridged plugin. Sluggish GUI hack: Enable this if your bridged plugin causes audio stutter when operating its GUI. Run in existing auxhost: Disable this option for plugins that you want to run in their own auxhost ( by default, all the plugins run in the same auxhost, may be worth disabling this option for a 32bit plugin that uses a considerable amount of RAM ). Performance mode: Audio buffers will be processed asynchronously, can improve performance with some plugin/host combinations Auto-close GUI: Closes the plugin’s window when you close the jBridgeM’s window

The next time Sibelius 7 starts it will run as a 32-bit application. On Mac, from the " Applications" folder, select the " Sibelius 7.app" package, press " cmd+i" and in the dialog that comes up select " Open in 32-bit mode".

If a 64-bit plugin is not available, Sibelius 7 can be run as a 32-bit application which will be able to see the 32-bit plugins. If the plugin has both a 32-bit and 64-bit version available, make sure that only the 64-bit version is in this folder as the presence of both could potentially cause conflicts. Windows users should check the plugins documentation for the location of a 64-bit plugin (when available) and copy the 64-bit plugin to the Sibelius 7 64-bit VSTPlugins folder at: " C:\Program Files\Avid\VSTPlugins\". Mac users will not need to do anything to differentiate between a 32-bit and 64-bit plugin.

Many plugin vendors have 64-bit versions of their plugins available, check for any software updates that might be available and contain a 64-bit plugin option. Sibelius 5 and 6 used 32-bit plugins natively so these files will not be available under Sibelius 7 64-bit. SolutionĪs a 64-bit application, Sibelius 7 is only able to see 64-bit plugins. Plugins used in previous versions of Sibelius do not appear under Sibelius 7 64-bit despite being installed correctly.
